#design #social #ui #2020/ ![[GIF_OFERECER-NATAL_site_givaware.gif]] in times as complex as the covid-19 lockdown, creating a sense of community and togetherness was essential. this project was developed in a very short period and with a very concrete idea of what we wanted to do, motivated by the following question: _how can we foster a greater sense of community during christmas, while people are in lockdown due to covid-19?_ in the user flow, we determined the steps the user has to take to get to the end of the experience and get gift suggestions for a loved one or receive tips on how to get something as well. ![[flowchart.png]] the fact that we had the dual objective of helping people choose what to give for christmas - always within more sustainable options that promoted local commerce and the economy - and fostering community spirit was fundamental in the uncertain times we were experiencing. for example, if the person clicked on "i want to receive", they would be presented with suggestions such as gratitude, a smile, a good story, a free breakfast, the title of hero, oxygen and a "puss in boots" look. this would lead to a series of good deeds in the community, such as phoning a loved one you haven't spoken to in a while, donating blood and receiving a free breakfast, volunteering at an animal shelter, etc. ![[Untitled-1-01.png]] --- <sub>note that: it was a very experimental project and developed in a short period of time, so it wasn't tested with users. even so, it was very well received by the public. the importance of this type of community-building initiative was noted.</sub>
